Hello, writing friends! Just a quick check in to update today’s progress. This afternoon I spent 90 minutes working on character backstory—mainly the heroine, but also on two other minor characters who will be important if I continue on with my planned series.
But mainly I needed to firm up the heroine’s backstory because her past trauma will affect every decision she makes in her budding relationship with the hero, including why she resists her happily ever after. Without knowing her reasons, I would not be able to plot the story.
I am pleased I figured that out. I also did a little logistical research on setting. Hoping that tomorrow I get back into scene plotting.
