Hello, writing friends! I have just finished my 60 minutes. Yay! Tonight I spent the entire hour filling out the rest of the character sheet for the hero of the story.
As usually happens, as I filled in the Hero’s backstory, and his family relationships, and thought about his strengths and weaknesses, the Hero’s personality changed from what I originally thought it was going to be.
I don’t know about you, but when I start writing or imagining a romance, I usually have this one “male type” that is sort of my go to (cold, brooding alpha-male). And he’s not always the right man for the heroine or the story. Micah, this book’s hero, is definitely not that go-to guy (in fact, that broody guy turns out to be his older brother) .
I finally have a good handle on the Hero’s character, and I know it’s going to help me when I get back to that frustrating plane scene.
But before I do, I will fill out the heroine’s character sheet. I will start that tomorrow night. I already have more of her backstory figured out, so it should be easier to do.
I hope your writing day went well. See you here tomorrow!
